Kathleen A. Lupia

Expertise in civil litigation including insurance defense matters, general liability claims, slip and falls, professional liability, litigation involving mass toxic torts such as asbestos, auto property damage, lead and mold and environmental law matters. She is proficient in insurance coverage issues and is often called upon to assess the existence of coverage and to prepare coverage opinions.
Attorney Lupia heads the Corporate Department, under which the firm’s risk management and in-house counsel initiatives fall. She currently focuses her efforts representing the firm’s municipal, governmental, not-for-profit and for profit clients in corporate litigation, risk management analysis, officer and director litigation, employment law, employee benefits analysis, employee handbooks, contract law and other matters of general corporate compliance. She has developed employee training in the areas of Preventing Sexual Discrimination, Preventing Workplace Violence, Creating a Safety Culture and Avoiding 9-1-1 Center Liability and trained hundreds of employees on these matters.
She is an attorney admitted to practice law in the State of New York. She is currently a member of the Oneida County Bar Association and New York State Bar Association. She is a graduate of the Accelerated Liberal Arts/Law Program offered at Syracuse University. She attained her B. S. from Syracuse University and her JD from Syracuse University College of Law two years later. While in Law School, she realized her interest for corporate law and participated in the General Counsel Certificate Program which allowed her to focus on critical corporate issues at the outset of her career.
